You can no longer use normal payment methods on a PS3 and a Vita PS

You can no longer use your credit card, debit card or other means of payment such as Paypal to buy games on your PlayStation 3 or PlayStation Vita from October 27. Although Sony has recently made a modification to the portable PlayStation that prevents users from buying games, this update of the payment method will always allow you to buy games and DLCs as long as you charge funds using a method alternative.

As of October 27, a recent Announcement of PlayStation said that the conventional payment methods listed above will not allow you to buy digital content or add funds to your portfolio on the PlayStation Store when you Use a PlayStation 3 or PlayStation Vita. To do this, you must add funds from an alternative source. Fortunately, it s not too difficult - you can use one of the conventional payment methods, including PayPal, gift cards or credit cards, to add funds from the store s website, Mobile application, Playstation 4 or PlayStation 5. With the additional funds, you can then buy any digital content, games or DLC on your PlayStation 3 or PlayStation Vita.

Is it bad for the longevity of the PlayStation 3 and the PlayStation Vita? After all, closing the PlayStation Portable store was definitely an unexpected surprise earlier this year in July. However, this is probably not the case - Sony probably wants to comply with the safety rules regarding these payment methods and does not want to update their windows. Although unfortunate, the update represents only a minor disadvantage each time someone wants to buy a game.
